wrestlemania XXVI predictions

beer and time constraints have stopped me from writing a detailed preview for this year's wrestlemania, but suffice to say i'm stoked (as always) for what is still the biggest wrestling night of the year.

i'll do my predictions in the order i think WWE should run the card, but don't be surprised if they don't run to expectations...

shawn michaels v the undertaker (career vs streak):

'taker, for sure. but the fact that there is a seed of doubt in my mind shows how well WWE have built this match. i don't see how these 2 guys can top last year's effort, but either way, 'mania ends with a 70,000-strong 'thank you shawn' chant.

batista v john cena (WWE championship):

cena. he's been beaten down time and again, and him winning would set up a big blow-off match at extreme rules next month.

vince mcmahon v bret hart (no holds barred):

if this doesn't end with vince tapping to the sharpshooter, the world will truly be on its ass.

chris jericho v edge (world championship):

logic says edge, but i can see jericho stealing a win, then losing the belt at the next PPV.

cm punk v rey mysterio:

stopping punk's momentum right now would be foolish, as he is in an absolute zone. if given time, this will be the match of the night.

HHH v sheamus:

why build sheamus up this much then kill him on the biggest stage of them all? it would be pointless. sheamus takes this one.

ted dibiase jr v cody rhodes v randy orton:

if orton doesn't win this, i'll throw my computer out the window. he's been so poorly used in the last year, yet he still makes me care about such a meaningless match. luckily for my mac, he will probably take it.

showmiz v john morrison and r-truth (unified tag team titles):

much like the above match, this feels slightly thrown together. but the miz is so compelling at the moment, he makes up for the shortcomings of the big show in the ring. showmiz for sure.

money in the bank match:

too many competitors to list, but as long as shelton benjamin does something awesome with a ladder, i'll be happy. i'd be even happier if dolph ziggler won, but i can't see it. the way tv has been going, i'd have to go for drew mcintyre.

all in all, this has the potential to be the best mania for a while. if you want a more detailed preview, the boys at who's slamming who have, yet again, outdone themselves. enjoy the greatest show on earth. god bless america.
